My muses are all singular and daring womenOlivier Rousteing
‘Balmainia’ existed long before it had a name. Founded in 1945 by Pierre Balmain, the label has long been a magnet for the jet set. The Parisian couturier, whose lavish designs were hailed by many as the ‘New French Style’, made his name dressing Hollywood stars and royalty alike. Ultra-glamorous, sophisticated and fierce, today’s Balmain woman needs no introduction. Taking over from Christopher Decarnin as creative director in 2011 at the tender age of 25, Olivier Rousteing has been credited with modernising the label and leading it sparkling power shoulder-first into the digital age.
Forget about buzzwords, right now it’s all about the BBuzz bag — pun intended.
Combining the Paris label’s penchant for flawless tailoring and Rousteing’s flair for creating instantly covetable items, the BBuzz bag is on a fast track to becoming an iconic piece and one of the season’s most-wanted items. For inspiration, Rousteing turned to none other than his very own Balmain Army. “I wanted to create something iconic, classic and timeless, so I asked some of my friends who are girls what they want.” The style set has spoken and if it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for us.

Thick fringes, quilted leather and impressive embellishments: when it comes to showcasing Olivier Rousteing’s signature design codes, the BBuzz bag does it all and does it well. Coming in a variety of colours and styles, each bag is embellished with a ‘can’t-miss-it B’, the label’s newly-introduced monogram. All that’s left to do is to pick your favourite style and let your BBuzz do the talking.
