In the closet of... Thibaut

The classy British style
I aim for an efficient shopping !

Thibaut Caillemer, Arlettie’s co-founder, is a loving aesthete of beautiful pieces and simple things. A multifaceted investor, always on the look out for the newest innovations, Thibaut is leading the London opening. Blue shirt, sneakers and always with a cap on, he jumps from one Eurostar to another to switch from the Parisian paving stones to the English pavements. In his Parisian home, let’s have a look at his closet and grasp the sense of his style: chic, sobre, urban with British tones added to it. Let’s meet with this discreet entrepreneur always in style.

I aim for an efficient shopping !

And if you are told …
What would you reply ?

Do you like shopping? Throughout the year, I rarely go for shopping and if I do it is always targeted. I am the type of client that never lasts more than 5 minutes in the store, but never leaves empty-handed. I aim for an efficient shopping! However, when I travel, I take the time to discover new brands and shopping becomes a real pleasure.

A good address in London?  What I love about London are the streets dedicated to men’s fashion, like Jermyn Street and Savile Row, a specificity coming undoubtedly from the legacy of their private Men’s club. I discover brands that are not represented in Paris, so it allows me to have nice surprises each time I pass by.

Your favourite brands? I am more attached to specific piece of clothing than brands, except for my navy blue shirts (always the same model, plain or with white and blue stripes) all bought from the same shop on Jermyn street in London. But, working at Arlettie gives us access to Houses that I particularly appreciate, such as Fendi, Givenchy, Lanvin or Margiela.

A sweet temptation? Caps ! I’ve started to wear some in the 80’s with the TV Show Magnum where Tom Selleck was wearing the Detroit Tiger cap. Since then, my collection has grown up well …
