Virginie Viard joined Chanel in 1987 as an embroidery trainee, before taking the lead. Her mission: to give life to the sketches of Karl Lagerfeld. The person who deciphered the sketches of the designer better than anyone took control of the Chanel collections, for haute-couture, ready-to-wear and accessories. A woman in the shadows, she “has Chanel’s DNA on the fingertips” and is incredibly humble. Virginie Viard shuns the spotlight and focuses on her new mission: to draw out the House’s genetic code and continue the legacy of Gabrielle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld. Historically, she is the first woman in this position since Coco herself. A new chapter for Chanel and a new story for Virginie Viard.

A reserved figure, Virginie Viard cultivates discrete elegance and a simply chic look – the mirror image of a “Chanel woman”. Her basics are just like her seasoned style:
